This video of Iranian protestors holding Syrian revolution flag is posted 7 years ago

Social media news pages and personal accounts shared a video lately of people raising Syrian revolution flag while others burned a photo of Syrian regime president Bashar al-Assad.

Video publishers said the video is new and taken by people who participated in protests against Iranian regime which started a week ago who raised the flag and burned the photo.

Following reverse-search conducted by Verify-Sy turns out it was posted on YouTube since 11/12/2011 under the title “burning Assad photo and raising Syrian revolution flag in Tehran”

Verify-Sy can’t confirm the video and where it was taken but being posted on the internet 7 years ago confirm it is not connected to current protests in Iran.
