On Saturday, Syrian regime announced it will reopen Nasib border crossing between Syria and Jordan and the start of transit crossing Syrian-Jordanian borders.
Arab and foreign news websites cited Assad regime Transportation Minister who said that the crossing started working on Saturday morning. Another Syrian official in Ministry of Transportation told France Press that Nasib border crossing is now fully open on the Syrian side.
On the other side, Jordanian government spokesperson Jomana Ghenimat denied Assad regime statement regarding reopening Nasib\Jaber border crossing through an official statement, the statement confirmed that the crossing it still closed and not open for transportation or transit and the official committees of both sides still negotiating to reopen it.
Verify-Sy would like to point out that the source of this misleading news is Assad regime official media agency SANA which published today news titled “reopening Nasib border crossing with Jordan and transportation resumed” but following the official Jordanian statement SANA deleted the news.
Later today, Assad regime Ministry of Transportation shared new statements saying that the crossing will reopen on October 10 but no official statement from the Jordanian government about this new date yet.
