Could the color of the moon change?

It is important to remember that the moon does not emit light by itself, but reflects the sunlight falling on its surface. It is in darkness completely unless it faces the sun and reflects its light.

The fact that some may be ignorant of it that the color of the moon is not white as it is known, as the surface of the moon shines as a result of the reflection of sunlight on it, and its distance from us caused it to appear white, but the dark gray is the true color of the moon’s surface.

And the color of the moon can change outwardly to several colors due to the influence of the atmosphere, as the following image shows colors in which the moon can appear to us on Earth, and green is not one of them.

for example, the color of the moon at sunrise and sunset changes to yellow and its degrees, and the color of the moon changes to red when a total lunar eclipse occurs.
