An old video recording of an execution that is being shared recently claiming it is in Afrin

A video posted on social media websites showing Turkish-speaking armed men wearing uniforms executing two women by shooting.

The recording publishers said the recording depicting Turkish soldiers executing two Kurdish women in the Afrin enclave.

After a search conducted by Verify-Sy team turned out that the video recording was published previously and at different times. One of the old publishers who published the recording on 01/11/2016 said that the video shows the execution of Turkish soldiers for Kurdish women and families in border villages without specifying the state. Where another publisher posted the video on 31/10/2016 said that the recording shows the execution of Turkish soldiers for two Kurdish female fighters.

Verify-Sy couldn't confirm where and when the recording was made, but it is likely that the footage is of Turkish soldiers executing two PKK female fighters, but it definitely has not been filmed in the countryside of Afrin as it has recently spread, according to the times in which the recording was published previously, which preceded the Turkish intervention in Afrin countryside more than a year.
