Social media news pages and personal accounts shared a photo of a racist cartoon against French footballers and said it is by French satirical magazine.

The cartoon showing monkeys wearing the French team blue uniform and holding a cup shaped like banana while a monkey asking if this is a banana while the other replying if this is an orange.

But Charlie Hebdo denied on its twitter account saying “a lot of FakeCovers of Charlie Hebdo are shared on social media. Be careful. If you have any doubt, check out the last issue of Charlie Hebdo. You can also find our weekly covers for free on our website and social media”.

The website of the magazine has a cartoon of French national team with “Bravo Blues” in reference to the national team wining world cup in Russia, moreover, the website didn’t have any racist cartoon of the French footballers.
