Social media Syrian news pages and networks shared news saying a military commander in Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham called “Abu Ali Damar” was assassinated.
The networks added that unknown gunmen shot “Abu Ali Damar” on the road between Idlib and Maaretmasrin and killed him.
Verify-Sy searched for the source of the news and turns out “Abu Ali “Damar” is not a commander of Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham, a Telegram channel with the name “Ahrar al-Sham reporter” that “Abu Ali Damar” is a commander in Ahrar al-Sham and was assassinated in Idlib-Maaretmisrin road and denied he is a member of Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham HTS.
On the other side a media source in Ahrar al-Sham Movement confirmed to Verify-Sy platform that “Ahrar al-Sham reporter” channel is official and belong to the movement.
